The Phoenix Metro area is know as The Valley of the Sun.  The valley is divided up into The City of Phoenix, the Northeast Valley, The Southeast Valley, and The West Valley.

The city of Phoenix encompasses central, northeast, northwest, and south Phoenix, the city of Anthem to the north, and the city of Ahwatukee in the south.

The Northeast Valley is comprised of Cave Creek, Carefree, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Rio Verde.

The Southeast Valley is home to the cities of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and Apache Junction.

The West Valley is where you'll find Surprise, Sun City, Sun City West, El Mirage, Glendale, Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Avondale, Tolleson, and Buckeye.
